TIPS FOR THE Compréhension Écrite
Two comprehensions will be examined at higher level (one journalistic, one literary)
- They are worth 60 marks each.
- Generally 5 marks are awarded for most questions.
- Please note for the question in English (Question 6), you must make two separate points and quote.
- Ensure you understand the following words: Citez (quote), Relevez (Pick out), Trouvez (Find), Selon/ D’après (According to ...)
- Note the difference between 'un mot' (one word) and 'des mots' (words).
- General rule of thumb: -1 for grammar mistakes and -2 for quoting too much.
- Tip: Read the title, subtitle and then question 6 (it's in English).
