Welcome
Hi and welcome to the Second Level French blog. I've been teaching in a small school in Co. Leitrim for the past ten years and love to integrate blogging and technology into our learning.
I started this blog a number of years ago and in my free time, I love to upload or share resources which will help other students and teachers, thus making our workload a little easier. It has evolved and changed over the years and much to my surprise, was voted one of the top ten blogs for teachers of French in Ireland (how the hell did that happen?) Without doubt, having a blog makes my life easier too as the students have access to material from home and useful learning links but in reality, I'd love to be able to dedicate more time to posting & updating!
My main focus is on Senior French and how to improve listening skills, tips for the comprehensions, diary entries etc. As a teacher, I'm still learning and changing my methodologies, so if you're a student seeking guidance, remember that all advice given is just my opinion and not necessarily gospel :-).
If you're on Facebook, you can follow tips for both French and English (my other passion). The page is entitled The Lough Allen Literacy Hut. Here's the link......
I'll be taking a little break (maternity) so I may not be very active in the coming months but will regularly post useful bits and bobs on the Facebook page. Thanks for having a peek. Au revoir tout le monde.
